Gulf County Libraries Receive Life-Saving AED’s

March 3, 2024

When a cardiac emergency happens, every second counts. SGCVFD 501(c)(3) learned that neither library in Port St. Joe nor Wewahitchka had an AED (automated external defibrillator) Emergency Station on-site. In February of 2024, AED Stations were delivered to both libraries, courtesy of our non-profit. Gulf County EMTs have offered to fully instruct library staff on the use of these lifesaving AEDs.

When your family is enjoying one of our famous slow-grilled Boston Butts this Memorial Day Weekend, it’s good to know that YOUR donation to our Annual Butt Roast is more than just a great meal… Your support of our SGCVFD 501(c)(3) Volunteers may just help save a life someday.
